Sharing ways of connecting in the Bristol area

Death Cafes in Bristol

St Peter's hospice - meet ups!

Penny Brohn - meet ups!

Death Cafe's Bristol

At a Death Cafe people, often strangers, gather to eat cake, drink tea and discuss death. Their objective is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. They are not a grief support group, but people can share their experiences, their fears, their hopes or come and ask the questions that they can't ask anywhere else.

The active cafes in Bristol to our knowledge are at Divine Ceremony (Bishopston), Arnos Vale (Totterdown) and the Bristol Older Persons Forum (BOPF) (Harbourside).

St Peter's Hospice

The primary Bristol hospice offers a range of in-person events, sessions and support.

Drop in sessions - every Thursday 2pm-3.30pm at the Brentry based hospice in their lovely coffee shop. Also it can be really helpful to visit the hospice and to see how beautiful the space is, the gradens and how welcoming everyone is.

The hospice also offer the hospice neighbour scheme for those with a end of life diagnosis but there is currently a waiting list to be matched with a neighbour.
